How much does any
YouTube channel make?

Paste a channel and we'll estimate its monthly ad revenue from public view data — niche, upload rhythm and reach. Then move the niche and the audience yourself and watch the number move with it.

Ad revenue only, from public view counts. Sponsorships, memberships and merch are not public, and are not in this number.

Under the hood

Three numbers, one
multiplication. That's it.

No black box. The estimate is public view volume times a niche RPM times an audience multiplier. Every input is on screen, and every one of them is labelled with whether we counted it or inferred it.

  1. Counted

    Views, two ways

We take the channel's last 30 days of views and its lifetime monthly average. A channel on a hot streak and a channel coasting on a back catalogue earn very differently, so both get carried through as the two ends of the range.

  2. Inferred

    An RPM for the niche

Advertisers pay wildly different rates by subject. Finance clears roughly $15 per thousand views; music sits near $3. We read the niche from the channel's recent titles, and you can override it if we got it wrong.

  3. Inferred

    An audience multiplier

The same video earns about four times more from a US audience than an Indian one. Where the viewers actually sit is private data, so this one is a dial rather than a reading. Move it and the estimate moves.

The rate card

What a thousand views
is worth, by niche.

These are the RPMs behind the estimate above: revenue per thousand views after YouTube's cut, at a US-heavy audience. A global-mix audience earns roughly 60% of these, and an India-heavy one about a quarter.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is this?
It is an estimate of ad revenue only, built from public view counts times a niche rate times an audience multiplier. Two of those three inputs are inferred, so treat the number as the right order of magnitude rather than an accountant's figure. The one thing it will not do is quietly round up: where the niche is ambiguous we take the lower rate.
Why a range instead of one number?
Because a channel's last 30 days and its lifetime monthly average are often very different, and both are true. A channel that just had a breakout is earning near the top of the range; one living off its back catalogue is nearer the bottom. Showing a single number would mean picking one and hiding the other.
Does this include sponsorships and memberships?
No. Sponsorship fees, channel memberships, merch, affiliate income and Super Chat are not public data, and for most mid-sized channels they add up to more than the ad revenue does. This number is the floor, not the total.
Where do the RPM numbers come from?
They are blended market rates per niche, listed in full in the rate card above. They are not read from anyone's account. Your own RPM moves with ad formats, video length, watch time and the time of year. January RPMs are famously about half of December's.
Why does audience location matter so much?
Advertisers bid far more for viewers in the US, UK, Canada and Australia than in most other markets, so the same million views can be worth four times as much depending on who watched. Audience geography is not public, which is why it is a slider you set rather than a number we claim to know.
Do you need me to sign in to my channel?
Not for this. The estimator only reads public data, so you can point it at any channel, including ones you do not own. Connecting your own channel is what turns the estimate into your actual RPM and revenue, and that is what the invite is for.
