Where is a competitor
beating you?

Paste your channel and one rival. We compare every public signal on both catalogues and name the single biggest gap where they are ahead, plus what to do about it.

Public data only. Neither channel needs to be yours, and nobody gets told you looked.

Under the hood

One gap beats
forty metrics.

Comparison tools love to hand you a wall of numbers where everything looks slightly different and nothing tells you what to do. This one measures the same things, then does the hard part: deciding which single difference is actually costing you.

  1. Counted

    Both catalogues

We pull the recent uploads for both channels: titles, thumbnails, publish times, durations, view counts and subscriber totals. Same treatment for both, so the comparison is like for like rather than your best month against their worst.

  2. Counted

    Every measurable delta

Upload rate, view multiple against subscriber count, packaging, long-form versus Shorts mix, breakout frequency. Each one becomes a head-to-head figure, and the ones you are losing get ranked by how much distance they explain.

  3. Inferred

    The one that matters

Then a model reads the ranked gaps in the context of your niche and writes the verdict: which gap to close first, and why that one rather than the one with the scariest-looking number.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a "gap"?
Any measurable difference where the other channel is ahead: they publish more often, their videos pull a higher multiple of their subscriber count, their packaging is stronger, they have found a format you have not. Places where you are ahead are not gaps, and the report says so if there are none.
Why only show one gap?
Because a list of twelve differences is a way of not making a decision. Closing one real gap changes a channel; skimming twelve changes nothing. The rest are counted and waiting behind the invite, ranked, for when the first one is done.
Can I compare two channels I don't own?
Yes. Both sides are public data, so you can put any two channels head to head, including two rivals with yourself left out of it entirely. Neither channel is notified.
What if I'm ahead on everything?
Then the report says exactly that rather than inventing a weakness to fill the screen. It is a real outcome, and it usually means the interesting gaps are in the private data neither of us can see from outside: retention, traffic sources, and where viewers drop.
Does it see anyone's private analytics?
No. There is no sign-in and no access to either channel's dashboard. Every figure in the report is something any viewer could count by hand from the public page, which is also why it works on channels that would never share their numbers.
Why is there a daily limit?
Each new pair of channels runs a real analysis and a language model, which costs money per run. Pairs that have already been compared are served from cache and do not count against the day's budget.

Want to close the gap?

This is one gap from public data. Connect your channel and Competitor Watch tracks every rival every day, with a plan for the gaps that are actually worth closing.
